Also remember.. Heat kills the power. Web with factoring the dyno isn't reading what the car took away like the kr, etc

I thought dynos where setup to give u a hp number based on set temp regardless of outside temps? Not sure how to explain it but it takes what ur really making at whatever temp is and adjust it to a number that would be correct for the temp its set for?

no thats not what im saying. im saying that i thought dynos are suppose to normalize the numbers so that it dont matter the temp outside its gives an avg number. I dont know how to explain it since iv never dynoed

Correction factor i think is what im talking about.

SAE correction:
29.23 in/hg.
77 degree temp
0 percent humidity
^ this what i mean I thought the dyno was suppose to put out numbers based on what the car would perform in 77 degree temps regardless of outside temp

Yep, look at the correction factor. 1.07 STD. pretty much 7% of power is added to have similar conditions to your post.

Well on the regional section with the other dyno graphs you can read it.

I don't think you guys are understanding what I'm saying.

If a car in 70 runs on a dyno what happens? Less heat soak, less kr if any and cooler combustion

If a car runs in hotter weather what happens? It'll get heat soak more often, get more kr, have shittier combustion temps.

So what happens is the actual car looses power.

The dyno can not correct the fact of timing lost due to temps. It can factor in the temp, but it can not ask the engine or the ECM how much power it actually lost due to knock retard and Etc.

A car will have less power overall even with no kr from 70 temps then to 90 ... This is the factoring of the dyno

With temps about 60-70* and a great fan or a few to get rid of heat soak and a good tune numbers can be had buy there is no such thing as a true dyno because the factoring of everything just isn't there

I understand that lol. With the 230whp he graphed at a 1.07 STD correction factor. If you remove 7% from the 230. At that time the conditions everything etc he has 214whp.

PS, I forgot to log got drunk instead..

That is the factoring of the ambient temps, elevation. Not of the actual variations of factors from heats oak and etc.

Send a log seriously man

But overall it seems the dyno numbers were low for everyone that got dyno'ed(when I was there). Davids z06 dyno'ed 20 whp less than when he got dyno tuned. Mike dyno 250 but really he was suppost to be at 270. And melon should be at 250 ish and he got 233.... So wad it the dyno or the heat or both?

The other dyno with 299whp and 348 wtq with bolt on and trifecta tune was just like my dyno on another dynojet... 300whp 350wtq

Seems to be pretty spot on. The z06 would probably suffer the most because of the heat. What's he got done to it!?
