No issue here with the under 4.0l 3"/3" dynomax vt... ran 24 psi thru it for some time without issue. Works as advertized...

thanks boss man ill look into one of those bad boys, i just buy the 2 pack from auto zone ^_^

i should include the top bolt on the header/dp area is a pita to tighten so it likes to loosen up and give me the exhaust leak and then doing a strong pull blows it up.

i even bought stubby ratchets to give me some rotating room, tools barely fit on to the bolts as the header piping is very close to the parameters...not sure if thats the right word for this.

right now i have a bolt with a nut too small on there(not tighten all the way as the size dont match)

so im not excited to get under there and fix it just yet

i have vibrant hd/dp catted vibrant 3in catback and stock muffler

my buddy suggested clogged cat, im not over boosting tho

Very slow progress right now, but I've been overseas for almost 2 years, and I'm deployed right now. Looking to get it running before the end of the year, possibly this summer depending on if I can get approval to ship it over to Germany.

As far as this Dynomax muffler debate............the VT isn't the greatest option out there, I personally will always swear by the Super Turbo design, I've had great results with it. It's quiet, and it has a great tone, and it doesn't hurt performance.

This stainless works muffler, never heard of it, but if it's the same design, just different material, then someone ought to try it out. Couldn't hurt.

Making a lot of power on the stock muffler is a bad idea though, it's going to cork your exhaust up and eventually blow out. I haven't blown a dynomax muffler out yet, but that's not saying it can't happen. When my car goes back together, it'll have a 3" inlet/outlet Dynomax Super Turbo muffler.

Nice good luck man. It'll be a beast once you get it back up and running.

Thats because raliartist is catless, i'm catted and i got no rasp at all. For the price you can't go wrong plus it has a 30 day warranty if your not happy with the sound.

I'm catless. Longtube header. Hahn 3" piping all the way back. Hahn resonator. Sounds like this ST muffler isn't all it's cracked up to be maybe. Might have a Hahn exhaust up for sale soon.

If you're ~GM Stage II, the stock muffler and resonator along with a durable downpipe and catalytic converter is the way to go.

I don't get it? That's not a Dynomax or SW muffler. Sounds a bit too raspy for me also.

what!? thats the best its going to get if your looking for performance
its a magnaflow muffler and resonator. i went through 4 mufflers and i found that getting a offset/center muffler helps a lot. now my car is turbo i dont have to worry about rasp anyway

thanks street dreamz.
SC is hard to make good I am not there yet.
I tried the superturbo dynomax along with a host of others. at the moment i am corsa dp muffler as resonator and lsj stock muffler. leaks, quiet but EGT and boost pressure is up and power is down.

best was lnf muffler. But highway drone was offal. I will now go down from 3.0 to 2.75 LNF cat back with a new bullet catalyst and try that. (using corsa muffler as resonator, not the lnf resonator it is tiny...
