E85 on tvs

i did alot of work to my car this weekend, and sense i had the valve cover off i just had to paint it but the point is getting tuned on e85 with a 2.8 pulley. i have 80 pound injectors right now. is that going to be anough or do i have to add a fuel pump for more flow, or a return fuel system?. what is the best thing for me to do fuel wise so i can get this tune?

You will most likely run out of fuel on the spring and summer blends of E on just the 80# injectors. Return style or boost referenced system will fix your problem. Or run 98# injectors with a pump like I am doing.

With the 2.8 pulley you will run out of fuel at around 6500ish rpm's. If you want to push the car to 7 or 7500 rpms you will need 1000cc injectors, aka the 98lbers that infraredline is speaking of.

Ok well I just ordered the return style fuel system last night, where can I find the injectors? By the way I just notice on my drive to work this morning I have a p0017 code, I cleared it bur when I stopped for coffee and cranked my car up it came on again. I replaced mytiming tensioner this weekend, is it something to do with that?

First I herd of the 98lb injectors and if u get 78lb springs wouldn't that help? Right

And where did u get the 98lbs at? And is it for e85 use only?

I hit 113% duty cycle @ redline and my AFR is sitting @ about 12.5 by that point, which isn't that bad. I know the boost reference thing will fix it, but its not an emergency @ the moment...but I'm on a 2.9 so it might be a tad different for u

p0017 is crankshaft position sensor code, could be a bad sensor or something.

Yeah if you get the RSFS or BRFPS you can keep the 80's and drop a few pulley sizes. On my 2.9 and 80's on stock fuel system I was seeing 98% Idc on the fall blend at 7200 rpms, so I dont think I would have made it to redline on a 2.8

i doubt it, i think my timing is off. when i had my valve cover off this weekend i replaced the timing chain sensor to the better single piece one. when i pulled the timing tensior out it deff looked like it jumped a tooth or 2. i have no idea how to fix this. anyone know how?

What AFR were you running?

I would ge tthe BRFPS or RSFS so you can idle easier over the monster injectors.

At 98% IDC I think my AFR was 11.5 or so.

And I will most likely get the RSFS or BRFPS this summer, but for now here is my idle on the 1000's

Will check this when I get home. Crazy the blend difference since the car I tuned hit about 12.5 AFR since it ran out of fuel.
