easy question

easy question

I'm going to buy pullys and a CAI soon but when i get these am i going to need any ecu changes or anything of that matter

only reason i ask is cause ived worked on many a car but never any newer cars so im afriad to break somthing real easy scince my tranny went at 8000 miles i dont wanna just rush into things not knowing

Anything smaller than a 3.15" Pulley u will need a ECU reflash (Stage 1 or Stage 2) to take advantage and make use of that extra power. As far as the CAI, u may get a CEL because the car doesn't know what to do with the extra air coming into the engine so the ECU reflash should take care of that as well or buying a MAF Translator which tricks the computer. Hope that helped.

it helped alot but im not gonna get anything smaller than that cause i dont wanna relflash the ECU

and Does the check engine happen to alot of people? (and to get it reflashed would i have to reinstall the original intake and bring it to chevy?)

I'm not sure about install the factory intake but so far the Injen has less of a chance to throw a CEL. There are a couple people who have the Injen and have the CEL. More so with the K&N though. But the Stage 1 and 2 upgrades should fix this problem. And to get the reflash u need to purchase either Stage 1 or 2
