Electronic management like Hypertech Programmer ...
HI ! Does any supporting vendor here would be ready to being involved with a company (for example Hypertech http://www.hypertech-inc.com) to develop an electronic device or program to boost performance on the Cobalt SS SC ?
It could be very interesting, for example, to remove or put higher the rev limiter ... it seems like the SS HP curve is damn cutted at 6500 RPM when it is seems raising ...
http://www.hypertech-inc.com/revlimit.html
Or to manage the air-fuel ratio, which seems to be too rich ...
Have a nice day !

Digital Horsepower makes a tuner for GM cars as well as Hptuners. The hypertech is worthless really. A powertuner (DHP's version of a standalone unit) is 400. The hypertech preset programmer is $400 also. So lets see.... $400 for lifetime custom tunes... or $400 for some general, nonspecific tunes....
JMC007 you ask the million dollar question we are all asking. So far I don't know of any company that sells a product that can alter the parameters of our PCM.
The domestic I4 market isn't exactly the largest in the aftermarket scene so we get ignored, I think thats changing a little bit with the SS/SC, but the Jbody folks have been in the same boat and I think they are finally getting a bit of suuport from HPTuners and they are just starting to look at maybe doing a product
I think many companies see the I4 market as economy and that there isn't a lot of money for them to make, so they go after the V6's and especially the V8's where the cars cost more, so it makes sense that the owners have a bit more cash to spend on performance products/services.
