Engine Mounts or Dampers??
I'd like to tell you to go Engine Dampner, Solid Motor and Tranny Mounts, and Traction Bars. But that would be over kill! So i'd tell you to go with solid motor and tranny mounts and then go with traction bars also.

There seems to be an issue with the dampners and their long term performance. There seems to be quite a few people who have had trouble with theirs breaking after a relatively short time.
Although, I don't think a lot of the solid motor mounts (i.e. TTR) have been around long enough for anyone to comment on their long term performance either...

Hey man it's over kill lol, but like you've said better safe that sorry. And to add to the long term usage of the dampners, if you run a stiff motor mount set up, you won't have to worry about the dampner moving as much becuase the engine won't move as much. If you run solid mounts and the dampner, I don't see you having a problem with them in the long run.

The engine will move just a little; the mounts aren't completely solid (as in metal on metal plates), they use urethane. But yes, it's a waste of money to buy both.

go to www.cobaltperformanceparts.com and they have some tranny mounts that work excellent and totally eliminate wheel hop!! price is good to, i believe only 65 shipped for both sides!!
I got my solid transmission mounts from www.turbotechracing.com for $60 for the pair. Very nice addon and easy to install.
The you should go with the damper instead of the mounts but you aint going to get the traction you would if you had the mount and tranny bushing i think but yeah you wont like the motor mount then if you hate rattles
I had Torque Forward dual torque dampers and can say it barely did anything. I think stronger mounts would be a better investment. I'm not saying it wasn't my shitty ass driving at the time, but i still weelhopped and broke my axles and trans with the dampers on.
