Engine mounts and Dampner

Hey I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts or opinions on the ZZP engine mounts or the Ingalls engine dampner and are they better than what we have stock on our 2.0. If I get them will I notice a distinct difference in the way my car handles or accelerates??

engine mounts can cause false knock as distillion can tell you.
Ingalls is good, but can bend.
TAG is coming our with a version of the damper which I recommend.

The car will launch a lot better eliminating wheel hop.

I was under the impression the ITD caused false knock, not engine mounts. Atleast I don't get any with my BWoody mounts.

Would that also include the intense trans mounts too?? Or just the upper engine mount?

The torque dampner wont bend if you install it right. These mods will eliminate wheel hop and cause some vibration in the car. I would recommend the intense tranny mounts and the ingalls.

the dampner WILL bend in time.
this happnened to a friend of mine and it was installed correcty.
note he is NOT stock, so take it as a grain of salt.

i think a better combo is the poly control arm bushing which i have, they eliminate most of the wheel hop, but as you gain more power wheel hop slowly peaks its ugly head, im gonna get the tag brace to go with the cabs and axles.

Arent poly mounts the best you can get. Can anyone explain what they are and different types like poly control arm bushing, engine mounts, or tranny mounts? Whats the best type to get? And a link would be nice...thanks n sorry for all the questions

I have an 06 ss/sc with gm stage 2, gm stage 3 pulley and an AEM cold air intake. I installed the ingalls TD 3 days ago. I love it. Wheel hop go bye bye.

I installed only ONE ZZP trans mount(the front one to be exact) and holy god does it vibrate now. I dont want to do the rear because of how bad it vibes now. Think dynomating the firewall will help?

The billet mounts are stronger than the poly ones, they're more solid. I have the ZZP Billet Engine Mount and Poly Trans Mount and have little to no wheel hop, but a good bit of vibrations. It all depends on if your willing to sacrifice a smoother ride for better performance. If your not willing to, then don't get the billet mount for sure.

I just put the dampner on a few weeks ago. I can say wheel hop hasn't been completely eliminated... but it has been significantly reduced. I'm still on stock boost but I can get on it a lot more now than I used to. No more of this horrible jumping wheel hop that scares you. It's limited to just small stuff which I can handle a lot easier. Vibrations aren't very bad at all... but you can feel some. I'm using it at roughly the factory setting... so I don't think it's gonna bend any brackets. I don't really see how folks bend these brackets anyways... that's like 1/8th inch steel. But I've seen the pics... so the proof's in the pudding I suppose.

So which is the one that you have to remove your engine or somethin to install? Can I install the mounts myself?

The enigine mount can be swapped out without removing your engine and the tranny mount, I think, you can get to from under the car. I'm not sure though, I didn't put my own mounts in, but I do know that the engine mount can be accessed and switched without any problems.
