engine trouble after new exhaust

I installed a GMPP sport catback and tonight while at WOT in 3rd gear it kinda stumbled at around 5500 rpm , almost like i hit the rev limiter for a second . Anyone else ever hear of this . I unhooked the battery for a half hour so i dont think its that . Only other thing i can think of is it was about 25F outside and it doesnt like the cold . Other work done is stage 1 and few things in my sig THX

The more i look around im gunna chalk this one up to the cold temperature . It seems that below zero air can cause some problems for these cars and my exhaust install just happened to be on the coldest night ive ever drove it . I hope anyways . 8)

Hmm is this the first time this happend?I remeber a few months back someone made a post about this and other people stated they have felt the same thing from time to time. my car did this a couple of times but this was back when I had less than 5000 miles on the car.It has'nt done it since and most of the other people kinda brushed it off as nothing major. This is the first time hearing about this in a while, so I would'nt worry about it.

hey man that happened to me also when i first got the car... how long was your car started when it happened. cause it happened to me after i pumped gas one night, i started the car and saw a crossfire flying by so i floored it right away and it happened to me, i figured it was a safety feature where if there isnt enough oil pressure built up when you first start it itll cutt off early so you dont ruin the motor. it hasnt happened to me since.

The car was at operating temp 180-185 f, and it had been running for more than 20 minutes . It happened again tonight after the temp dropped to around 29F or so . It just seems weird that i put the GM performance exhaust on and now its doing this after 7K miles . I bought the exhaust used for 150 buck and it looked great only a few months old . The motor almost feels like it loses fuel for a split second , almost like hitting the rev limiter, and then keeps pullin up to 7k rpm . I checked the exhaust over very good , no leaks or anything . Im wondering if i should pull the K&N out and put the stock filter in for winter temps? Its very sporatic and i cant reproduce it very often , no sel lights are on either , im hoping its just a tank of bad gas or somthing simple . Thx for the reply's and the help , let me kow if anyone has anymore idea's .

Well, i pulled the K&N drop in out and put my stock air filter back in and it hasnt done it since . Must be its the combo of more flow and below 0 temps that the car didnt like . I guess i'll pop it back in in the spring . Thx for all the help .
