Engine warmup

Hey, I'm new at the force inducted bit, and I was wondering if we need to let ours warm up before really driving. I know friends with turbo cars and they say to let it warm up. So far I have been following their advice, but I wanted to make sure since this is a SC and not a turbo.

yeah I let my warm up about 45sec. untill the rpm drops down. it's always good to let your car warm up if it has been sitting. so dont change what you have been doing,

Yes, it's not a good idea to start getting on your motor when it's cold. Like said before, 45 seconds is a good amount of time then you can start driving but I would still stay around 2000 RPMs untill you warmed up properly.

By the way, these tips are good whether if you're running forced induction or naturally aspirated.

once oil pressure is built up drive on, but don't drive hard until at normal operating temps

easiest thing to do is just wait for the cold start cyle to go through and drop.

Thanks guys, I wanted to make sure. I usually wait until the temp is about 140 before I pull out of my neighborhood.
