Erratic Idle

Alright as most of you know i just got finisihed doing the dual pass. had a few leaks but that was just from the tank and an improperly placed hose clamp (i am freaking hoping). anyways. my idle jumps up and down, best way to describe it is sounds like a cammed lsj, cool sound, not cool because I need to fix that. Any help please.

It sounds like it gets air, no air, gets air, no air etc etc.

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body? This helped my car when it had erratic idle. It is pretty easy to do. 4 bolts (10 mm socket), one electric clip on the bottom and a vaccum hose and you will have it off. Use throttle body cleaner and a clean rag and clean all the dirt out of it, put it back in and you should be good to go!

Hopefully it works for ya!

i have cleaned the **** out of mine until you could eat off of it, and it still does it. not enough to make it stall out but still jumping from 300rpm to 1500rpm...

i'm thinking of 2 things. fuel filter and a tuning issue

yours does the same thing?
I throw no engine code or anything.
i think it might be the intake gasket needs replaced? maybe?
more help? tearing down tonight again and starting over.
my dual pass is working though, guess that's my only good thing lol.

Most likely your throttle body. Pull the TB off and clean that and put it back on. If that doesn't fix the problem then you will have to go with something else...But I'd be willing to put money on it being your throttle body.

where are the coil packs? inside that part you have to unscrew to get the plugs out, yes?

and drew, are you talking about that line that goes to the top middle of the intake mani?
cause i broke one of the little clips on there (there's 2 sets) but the line stays on the nipple?

ya the one right under the fuel line, where the s/c connects to the intake manifold. maybe get a zip tie and put it on that tube so it stays on. thats my suggestion
