Erratic Idle
idk i added more after that
i think it was bleeding air cause the level was going down but just for good measure i think im going to tear down again order a new intake gasket and 2 new laminovas and see wehre that gets me.

Yeah, that definitely looks like a loose/disconnected hose or sensor.
Make sure you didn't pinch anything (hoses or wires) putting your stuff back in and double check all your electrical connections. If I remember right there's a plug somewhere down there that fits into two places (for some dumb reason) so make sure you have everything the right way.
That's not a tune issue by a longshot. That's something wrong in the bay.

if that doesn't work than laminovas will be ordered.
this plug you speak of, what are you referring to?
lol i've got an aftermarket one but this is my ******* fault so i'm going to do all in my power to resolve it myself before resorting to anything like that.

I don't even recall to be honest. I'm probably wrong about the plug.
I don't think new laminovas would be necessary unless you know you're leaking coolant into the IM. I'd wait until you tore it open before ordering them.

Gonna start teardown again bright and early and contact the dealer when they open to see if they have a gasket hopefully and then throw all that back on and see if it gets me anywhere, if not i'm gonna look the the laminovas as that could be the only other problem =/.
5,6,7,8 are false cylinders (idk why they didn't just program those out but whatever). As far as the misfire code, it's probably related to the funky idle. When my car had the bad tune and did RPM wandering it would throw a misfire after idling long enough.
fair enough, basic troubleshooting told me to change plugs after that code, but what you said would make sense that changing them didn't really do anything.
could it be that i didn't tourqe the bolts to specifications? no torque wrench here so i just use the hand tighten rule and was just looking over the gm guide and has lots of tourqe levels..

That might be, but I just sorta hand tighten most of mine as well. The only thing I'd be really worried about is (as you've mentioned) the IM bolts. If you didn't tighten them down enough and/or tore the seal a little that'd do it. Vacuum + bad seal = extra air -> rough idle.
That could POSSIBLY be a sticky as **** TB, but since it only started after you did the dual pass install I'm more likely thinking there's a leak somewhere.

I'm thinking that that is the most likley culprit as i already put the endplate on and it was 4 in the morning and i was just like alright lets get it on and go to bed haha.
I see also there's a certain sequence to tighten them, which I didn't do. I just did outsides in but not in the correct sequence. Sweet, I hope that we found my problem. Will let everyone know tomorrow if the dealer has my gasket in, if not in a few days then lol.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions paul.
Unless something fell off down below I think everythings hooked up properly but, **** at this point i'll settle for taking the entire mani off and reinstalling again, time to pick up a torque wrench now i guess lol.
hope this is the break i've been looking for lol we'll see.

well, as much as i dont understand why.. i cleaned my TB and low and behold, my idle is now back to normal.. no more surging at a stop sign/red light.. its just so amazing how something so small can effect our idle.. thanks for the help btw.
