There are alot of good exhaust out there, it is more of which one you like, how loud you want it, hahn offers a 3inch, along with other companies, there is borla, magnaflow, and corsa whioch offer 2.5, and the gm exhaust that is 2.25, you can also search because there is alot fo threads on exhausts.

I have an 06 ss/sc, gm stage 2, gm stage 3 pulley and an AEM CAI. I just had my exhaust system installed a week ago. I bought a 2.5 in downpipe w/ cat from zzperformance and had my local muffler shop custom build me a 2.5 in cat-back system using a Magnaflow muffler. It is the exact same thing as the Magnaflow cat-back, but it only cost me $350 for them to build it and install it along with my downpipe. It has a nice, deep tone. Not ricey at all.

As far as tires go, I would highly suggest Yokohama AVS ES 100. Great wet-dry performance. I have had them for about a month now and they bite a lot better than the Pirellis. I changed the size to 225/40/18 though. A little wider and shorter than stock, but they will fit just fine on the 18 in rims.

GMPP exhaust... everyone I meet absolutely loves the sound... plus it's stamped GM so the cops can't give ya' **** about aftermarket exhaust... it's a factory part.

As long as you have a functioning muffler, catalytic converter, 02 sensors, and a resonator. They can't give you any shiznit.

Silver are you off to purchase your SRT-4 yet?
