Im guessing you have a lsj. Just do a muffler delete for sound.

Imho i would not do a muffler delete. At that point u just get a raspy exhaust. Get a magnaflow, or borla or loudmouth. It will be quiet at idle and loud at WOT. But it will be a clean loud not a raspy one

Corsa or GMPP for an LSJ. Don't go cutting off your resonator or muffler unless you want raspy city.

I didn't know OP had an LSJ. Exhaust sounds completely different between LSJ and LNF.

I'm not wanting it to sound like a "ricer" but as close as possible to a V8. So should i just do a muffler, resonator, or both resonator and muffler delete?

I'm on the mobile version on my Galaxy Note 3 so I can't see if you have an LSJ or LNF.

Leave it alone until you can afford a quality exhaust.

The LSJ will sound like butt with the resonator and or muffler removed.

sorry to say but it will never sound like a v8 because its not a v8 we have a 4 cylinder so its going to sound like a 4 cylinder

If u want it to sound like a v8 then sell it and buy a v8. No exhaust can imitate 4 extra cylinders. If u want it to sound like a clean sporty exhuast with some nice popping, then u need to wait and get a header to a 3 inch downpipe and the catback of your choice. Personally i like my magnaflow.

Is it better to stick with same brand for entire exhaust system and wats the difference between the down pipe and header cuz everything i seem to find states the downpipe and header r the same thing unless wat im seeing is wrong or im interpreting it wrong

The header is what comes directly off the exhaust ports on your head and the downpipe connects from the header to the resonator or intermediate pipe. You dont need to get the same brand for the whole exhaust. My header and downpipe are zzp and my catback is magnaflow.

I love the sound of mine. Ppl can hear me from a mile away and can tell from the tone that its my car. If u dont have emissions tests where you live i HIGHLY recommend getting a catless downpipe. And keep ur resonator otherwise its gonna sound like ass. The muffler is whats gonna give you the unique tone. Besides magnaflow i like the slp loudmouth, but i wouldnt trade my exhaust for anything. Its mellow when i want it to be and sounds like a monster at wot

Just go on zzperformance.com and look in their exhaust section and u will find the header downpipe combo and they sell magnaflow and obviously their own catback

do you have a video of the sound? if so u should upload it. and az is an emissions state and they r trying to make the emissions standards as hard as california. would you say to do the header/downpipe combo first or do the catback exhaust first because both cant b done at the same time due to finances
