I'm pretty sure the NLS feature can make a modded balt shoot a little somethin, but since this is in the SS/SC section, do you have a WOT-Box?

Its from fuel build up in the exhaust. That is why cars come with cats so that it gets burned up in the cat so it doesn't shoot a fire ball. My car will do this only when I am on and off the gas spiritedly. The real only requirement that is needed to do this is to be catless.

cats are put on to burn the unburned fuel to reduce exhaust emissions, not so you don't shoot flames.

I can shoot flames sometimes, usually between shifts if I bang the limiter accidentally. Hate being catless because of all the noise but shooting flames is fun haha

remember those ford f250's or whatever had a recall because they would hold flames in their exhaust like a torch lol

i think i heard something about this.

someone was telling me once that if you took the exhaust off the newer f250's, when you go to start it up the exhaust would be somewhat of a flamethrower due to something different in the engine

You guys do realize this is a rich fuel condition and although your not going to blow your motor you might end up fouling plugs after time. Flames although cool are NOT something good.

To see all these post about "yeah its cool, I wanna do that" is funny as hell.

hot exhaust, unburned fuel (everyone has it), usually happens when you just shift and romp on the gas.

I'm sure it is very unlikely all these guys including myself are stupid..

on a side note anyone play need for speed 'shift'? and race with the cobalt ss? flames all the time!
