Exhaust ideas

Alright, so it's coming to that time of the year for me when things are slowing down and i'm going to have some free time and money, and I'm looking to change my exhaust. I really like the way the dual exhaust looks on our cars, so I really would like to give that a go. So i have been doing a lot of research about them, but I have some questions. I know that its more of an appearance mod then anything else but I would like some opinions from people who have tried different muffler set-ups with single or dual.

1) Whats a good size piping to go with, my goal is over 350 whp and I don't mind sacrificing the low end now just so i dont have to buy a different exhaust down the road.

2) Muffler choices, loud, medium, stock sounding?

3) And from what I have read adding the dual makes it flow differently and I read it's less restrictive, true or false? so possibly a 2.5 inch pipe will be more like 3 inch piping?

Thanks

in my opinion...

#1. if you want your overall goal to be 350whp, go with 3inch the whole way. You might sacrifice a tiny bit of power now, but you wont have to redo your exhaust later.

#2. I honestly like a medium tone for an exhaust sound. Loud gets obnoxious(spelling? lol) and the stock sound is to quite for me. I like a deep tone, aka. no rice.

#3. Dual i would say is all for looks because it wont be a true dual exhaust. I will have to be a Y so you will get probably the same amount of restriction as just a normal exhaust. So if you go dual, i would still say stick with the 3 inch of your goal is 350 whp

Thank you for your thoughts, yea I was thinking 3 inch considering the power I plan on. As far as my second question I'm looking for muffler chioces, like which ones are loud, medium, and stock sounding. I really want something that has a deep rumble to it. And I know it's not a true dual, i just like the look of it.

o my bad...

yea it does look bad ass. The hahn racing exhaust sounds phenomenal in my opinion, but if you dont want to spend that money, then i think magnaflow is cheaper, and everyone recommends it on these cars. So one of those two would be my choice

I just put a magnaflow single on my car, sounds great, no rice, and even gets some pops/gurgling which I love. It's only loud when I step on it, otherwise just slightly louder then stock at idle, and moderately louder during normal driving.

Most of the places I see have the hahn at a cheaper price then the magnaflow. But no matter what I am going to need another muffler and more piping for the other side. I guess I need to start number crunching, but the magnaflow comes with 2.5 so I think that hahn is the one I would need to go with, unless I can find a shop to do the whole thing.
