For whatever reason I can't get that picture to load, but i'll guess that it probably cracked right at the coil part of the downpipe. Thats what happened to mine at least, I think its a pretty common thing.

everyones splits at that shitty flex along the line just upgrade to a 3" to 2.5" downpipe with a REAL flex on it.
it kinda sounds like you have a turbo spooling up when you hit boost lol.

killa...ususally if u have an exhaust leak ur exhaust will sound different and louder... also another way to tell ive been told is to hold ur hand over the exhaust in the back and u can tell if there is no pressure if u can cover ur hand over it without a problem

If you get a catted 3-2.5" dp it won't really sound much louder if at all. You're only an 07 so yea I'd just get it warrantied, but you'll end up with the problem in the future too. Only fix is a weaved flex pipe.

yeah pretty much. I thought it was something in my intake tract for the longest time and had torn that all apart a few times. finally someone suggested flex pipe and makes sense cause they just get a pinhole in them and expands loud enough to be audible under boost. probably can't hear it too well just reving it.

take your car out, get into 2nd at 30, floor it, do you hear a hissing noise.
like i said it is usually literally a pinhole imperfection that occurs holding your hand over it will get you burnt when you pull your hand out and hit the header and probably will not help find the leak.

Shouldn't be any trouble getting it covered.

Dam, this just happened to me.

It's the flex pipe that's broken.

Mechanic told me he could get a new flex piece and weld it onto the downpipe, because otherwise I'm looking to buy a new downpipe (which has a cat so it's pricey)

You have only GM parts...so no, they cant say anything. GM wants you to by GMPP...and even if you had aftermarket stuff they have to prove that said part caused the leak.
