Id say youd be lucky if your 3 inch crush bent exhaust didnt lose you a few HP, unless your running about 350hp right now.

Please read earlier posts in this thread to understand why mandrel bends on the cat-back do not matter.

You are correct about your description of Mandrel bends, but it does not make a difference on the cat-back. Downpipe and headers yes, but not the cat-back.

yes... crush bends ADD restriction... the point of going aftermarket is to eliminate restriction... why intentionally creat what you're trying to get rid of in the first place?

Please read the part of my post that says 3inch crush bent....

If it was 2.25 inch, or 2.5 inch, i wouldnt have made the comment.

While I dont think crush bending is the best way to go, I have seen proof of how manderal bending helps performance.
Ive yet to see any proof that crush bending gives exactly the same results except for your opinion.....

but I will say this, I certainly dont think its gonna hurt as much as going 3 inch does.

Unless you are pouring ALOT of exhaust gas down that pipe, (IE turbo swap, or 60lb with 2.5) a 3 inch will be to much.

Sort of like trying to blow a nice long breath down a garden hose (2.5) compared to trying to maintain that same nice long breath blowing down an empty toiletpaper roll. (3inch)

You car will go "pahhhhhhhhh cough cough hack hack"

If 3 inch and 2.5 inch are exactly the same on our cars.....why not just delete your whole exhaust and run pipes out your hood?

Isnt that along the same lines? if freeing up your exhaust is the only thing that matters with exhaust....then wouldnt a 5 inch system be even better?

(yes im being sarcastic)

Ok so what would you guys recommend to go with a Corsa Sport Catback 2.5" in terms of headers and downpipe?
