What is the stock size for the ss sc?

 

2.5 to the axle. axle back is 2.25

 

What size is the gmpp exhaust? Im trying to decide i i wana get the touring or thr performance exhaust. Anybody have sound clips?

Keep in mind this video doesn't do it justice either. I have the GMP Performance. Every time I get on it I cream my pants. Nuff said.

 

Go to the dyno section there is a vid of a cobalt stock dyno vs cobalt gmpp exhaust dyno. added 12 hp.

 

Did you lose any torque on the top end? I heard somebody say they lost some top end pull

 

I don't see how that can even be possible. My top end improved (Not a crazy amount, but a bit) and the sound and feel is amazing. Don't pass it up man. Very underrated. I chose wisely when I bought mine. Not to say others arent good... Magnaflow comes in 2nd place in my book. GMPP ftw hands down.

 

I see I was looking on youtube and there was one video with a ss with the perormance exhaust and the guy said he lost some top end torque..which i could see happening since its 2.25 versus the stock 2.5/ 2.25 combo. Did you do the airbox mod before or after the exhaust?

Oh and where did you find the aem airbox mod?

 

Ohh wait. You got me all wrong lol that's not my car that was just an example.. I really wouldn't worry about losing power because it wont happen. And like I said.. You will not find an exhaust that will satisfy your ears more than this one

 

true ive been looking at a lot of clips and nothing sounds as good as the gmpp perf exhaust..and it doesnt cost as much as most of the others

 

are you talking about jonel's dyno? as the owner of the site he probably got a discount for posting huge dyno gains. take the lowest of the low, and the highest of the high. just like aftermarket companies would do. doesn't mean he gained 12 hp. realistically, you will gain about half of that with an exhaust on a cobalt, depending on other mods.
