I am currently running a 3" vibrant exhaust with resonator. I love the sound only my neighbors are starting to get pissed because I leave at 6am every morning and the car is loud! I am also getting sick of it because when I take the car out and get on it a little bit it just attracts too much attention, including cops. I originally got the 3" because I planned on getting the upgraded supercharger, however now I am just going to stay with the 260 whp set up. I was wondering if there was a big difference sound wise between the 3" and 2.5", and would it be worth it. I don't want to spend the money if its not going to quiet it down a lot. Thanks.

 

Instead of change your exhaust system completely, you may try getting the whisper resonator from zzp. I believe they make a 3" version. Supposedly it reduces noise quite a bit...

 

I did get a resonator, and it did work, just not enough

 

Well the whisper resonator is the "quietest" thats why I recommended it... Its just a big money issue to get a whole new catback.

 

Yeah I hear ya. I'm sure it is a lot better, but prob won't make much of a diff at this point, the decimals will still be the same, just the volume will go down.
