exhaust system

yup i searched, didnt find what i was looking for so here it goes.

I REALLY love the way STI'S, WRX'S, & SRT-4 sound. They dont have the ricer sound to them. This is what i want my 07 ss s/c to sound like. Which exhaust will be closest sounding to those ? No offence, but i hate that honda rice sound. I hate it. and so far thats all i have heard. I would also like it not to be VERY loud, i want it to be heard just not from 10 blocks away. So far i think hahn, and ark are "ok" any others ?

p.s. i would like 3 inch

you will not sound like them because they are turbocharged, and that totally changes the sound. out of curiosity, why would you like a 3"?

go with a 2.5". 3" is too big unless you're gonna be doing crazy mods.

those cars sound deeper and more mellow because the turbocharger itself serves as a muffler in a way. i agree it's hard to find a great sounding cat-back for these cars, but i think the closest to what you, and I, are looking for would be GMPP.

i putting my 2.9 and CAI this week with a custom tune, then ill do meth injection later on and full exhuast, if 3 inch isnt need for those mods, then so be it. I just though the 3 inch would be better and maybe give me some more hp/tq.........

gmpp sport exhaust sounds good
i have the vibrant 3 inch, it is loud as hell.

there IS a point to having three inch exhaust. it moves the power band up in the rpm range.

you really don't need three inch on the car. it's a bitch to put on. i had to drop the rear suspension to do it.
anyways, vibrant, and hahn so far on the three inch stuff.

i did it to move my power band up, thats all
