Red face Stage 2 TImes?

hey GUys, I just got my stage 2 installed with the stage 3 pulley done. I'm boosting about 15-16psi. I also have the injen intake, and 16" wheels. I went to the track I ran 3 times all crappy launches. Times were 14.5, 14.5 and best 14.4 at 101mph. Can I expect a more better time with a better launch ? or is that it. Also what is everyone boosting at with stage 2??

There are some who have ran low 14s stock on this forum. I believe they lost a little weight but nothing that you couldn't put right back in.

If your car is in good shape and you pull off a good launch and follow through with good shifting you could run around 13.7 second 1/4 or so.

really you should not ask drag times. every driver is different. hell i run with a couple kids in town, and they have ran 13.6's and 13.5's and i can put 2-3 cars on them just from a launch. but i' have never been to a track with this car, and i know form experience that every track is going to be different. my times in my DSM differed +/- .30's just practice, you need to find that point of engagement on your clutch, and hold it just below that point. and slowly let out, don't want to spin the tires and don't want to stall it either. can be tricky at first but you'll get it.

track quality, track prep, altitude, air quality, temperature
theres so much that goes into track times.

With that trap speed you are most definatley capable of 13s with a good launch.

what are your 60ft times?
get those down to 2.2s and 2.1s and youll be running 13s all day.

mods in sig... (all.. minus the Heat exchanger and the header)

street tires...

took out spare and jack.

much more in her... about 90* and a slipping clutch

I see a lot of stage 2's with 2.9" pulleys trapping at 102mph... why am i trapping so high? (granted i had a DP and catback additional... but still)

its a touch high maybe.
but on a cold night i think 106 isnt out of the question for your mods.

but there are so many variables....who knows.
maybe you had a good tailwind that time.
maybe your track isnt completely 100% flat and true.....maybe their radar is a tiny bit off....

I've run 14.4's here in Tucson and a one time best of 13.84 @ 101.54 with a 2.16 60' at Firebird raceway just outside of Phoenix. The video is here

Track prep is where it's at, mind that here in the upper elevation area's we have to deal with altitude.
