Exhaust tone with header??

Exhaust tone with header??

First off: CA v1 header, ZZP 3" catted DP, GMPP performance exhaust.

Sounds like a Civic DX w/4" soup can on the back.

My friend has the same set-up minus the header and his sounds deep/rumbly with no rasp. Does the header make that big of a difference? Would switching to the ZZP or CA v2 header make any difference? I dont know if its because of the header collector being 2 1/4 and the DP 3" or what. I really like the added performance of the header (21 deg timing 93 octane) but will switch it out if I cant get the bumble bee out of the engine compartment.

Do you think trading someone for the touring exhaust would make any difference?

For performance and sound you want to keep the header and go to stock or near stock exhaust (2.5 or 2.75). I have vibrant head/dp and never got around to swapping the stock exhaust and it sounds bad ass.

Just get yourself a 3" in/out, 6 round inch magnaflow resonator and it would quiet anything down a lot.
