factory 20 PSI supercharger

At my work to day i ran into a guy with a Cobalt ss/sc and we got to talking and he told me that he has a 20psi pulley or super charger or somthing that is making him 20 psi. he said he didnt think it was the stage kits but he had to ask for it. is this true? im going to go pre order my stage 2 kit tomorrow so im going to ask around and c if any one at my dealer knows anthing about this but some help would be nice cuz i would love to make 20 psi.

no doubt full off ****, unless he has a 2.6" pulley on there then he will be running ~ 19.5 lbs of boost BUT he would have had to have a piggy back system to compensate for the ecu ....... and it would diffently not come stock

and from the dealer you cant make it 20 psi from what i know of b/c there isnt really the resources to make it that high yet. i bet anything his guage was off and never got set properly so he is thinking that he is hitting 20 when in realality he is only hitting ~13

Yah, your internals are not going to last long with that much pressure in the system.

505 LS7 here, i paid an extra 20g's but it was worth it to have the front sitting on the ground permanently because the shocks blew and the springs can't handle the load...

It's not the amount of boost you really need to be concerned with, it's the SC's rpm that you need to keep an eye on.

All of you guys seem to forget this sc was rated for a 3.0 to 4.0 liter engine. Yes that is per the eaton web site. Currently I am running the 3.0 pulley and I spike 17 psi all the time so what do you think the 2.8 and the 2.6 pulley are going to give you.
BTW yes I think the dude is talking crap but there are a few people that are experimenting with other setups. Also I do believe that the eaton web site says max 18 psi or so but thats at a 100,000 mile rated go over that and the worst that is going to happen is reduced life even at 50,000 miles a rebuild is only like $500 so whats the big deal.

Keep in mind the mustang and lightning guys have been overreving thier sc for quite some time and I really havent heard of to many catastrophic failures. Just my opinion and we all know what those are like and who has them!

bdwarr is claiming 20psi with his INTENSE Stage 3 kit. Doesn't he live in that area, if not maybe it was another Cobalt with it.
