Dan, it's a combo of things.... Race gas, higher timming, a IAT2 tricker,.... mainly different hptunes that Rob helped me edit that account for the extra 2mph. On pump gas I still run 107 & 108 mph with only 18 degree's of timming spinning down the track with 2.3 60ft's. So all in all.... I say these cars are more then capable of solid 12 sec times with traction.

i bet i can do 12's in this car....with some DR's and a fancy new clutch i bet she can do it!

I'm sure you will also... that makes a ton of difference. You have the hp to do it and if the clutch holds the shifts and no problems your going to be there. Good luck
Get a 12sec timeslip to shut some of these people up.

Gosh it took about 30 timeslips and NHRA/ IHRA actual race events(not test and tune days) to prove to people back in the day when I first ran 9's in a 4000lb convertible. Even then people still didn't believe it till they saw the car run in person.

You can have the power to run 12's but untill you get back to back runs..consistant timeslips...bla..bla... people will still find a reason to not beleive it. Been there..done that... LOL

Going to need those Hoosier QTP's or a 15inch rim with some ET Streets or drags to hit it.... drag radial will still cut 2.0 60'fts..... need 1.8 60's to hit 12's or spray the car....

i've been wanting to spray the car sence i got it but i dont have a kit and i'm not smart enough to order a good system for our cars so i just havent dont that....but i want to!!!!!

i'm gonna use my 16in snow tire rims and mount some slicks on them.

i think spray would be a great way to get there and faster but then you'd have to set up a totaly differant tune with less timeing to hande the N20

I haven't hit the track since I was in stock form , but I'm pretty sure it will dip into the mid 12's . I have raced quite a few 12 second or less cars and either won or held my own very well . I'll problay never know since I be selling it to fund my race car : )

I'll hopefully be in there soon. I have pretty much everything you do right now Dan...working with a place to do a mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust for only $300-350. If anyone else is interested in an exhaust for that, let me know.

Oh, I'm also going to give Scott Cook a call this week or so to set up a dyno tuning session so that will get my long trims out of the -18 range :- /

Oh and clutch will be on two or three days after I get the damn thing back from CM since they wouldn't pay for the shipping back to them so I had to do ground or cough up another 15-20 dollars.

ya it kinda is lol...but o well...dont look at it if it makes u feel bad.

vandy...i said screw it and am letting my ltft's sit at -18 ill get around to tuning them in one day.

I am going to have the 2.25" section cut out and replaced with a 2.5" and a flowmaster 50 series. then add some waterinjection and i see 12s on street tires hopefully before the end of the yr

then comes the 12SECION license plate lol

There is a guy on the RL forums that will probably hit 11s easily with drag radials when he gets about 12 hours of tuning in, lol. His name is Rice Eater...I'd like to see anyone with a LSJ get in the 11s though.

Here is his list:

2005 blue redline- K&N CAI, 2.6 pulley, zzperformance tensioner, 42.5 bosch injectors, stage reflash, scdyne header, torque forward- motor mounts, front and rear bars, dual torque brace, URC subframe rails, Eibach springs, custom exhaust w/dynomax muffler, aem wideband a/f gauge, duel interceptors, 10.5:1 pistons, ported head, new cams, Ti valve trane, ice box, dry ice box,nkg one step colder plugs, stage 3 clutch, fidenza flywheel, custom front and rear fascias. race day- falken azenis rt615.

You guys might know him as the main person for Torque Forward, his partner in business is Cynic.

Goal for tomorrow is low 13s...a 12 would be nice but will be unlikely due to traction.

Once i get the water injection on and that exhaust i feel 110 traps will be easy then from there it is just traction...15" + slicks ftw!

Hey Dan, how are you going to launch? I'd be a little worried about the axles, wouldn't you? Sent you a PM, also, what more should I do until I get on the list? I will have the ice box back in about a week...finished the mock up and sent it out today to the shop who will make a real one and then once I test it, they will start making them, can't wait for IAT2s to be around 135 degrees. Also, how is your current tune working out for ya?

given the weather conditions here in AZ it's going to take a truly raw car to hit 12's anytime soon . I would be happy if i turned like a 13.4 or something

ill launch until the axles snap...then order new ones...im not all that concerned but i know they are weak. As far as the exhaust iirc its 2.5 to 2.25. I know when we deleted my cat we used 3" pipe and it welded up to the stock pipe just fine...I'm gonna try to get under it ad check for sure.

Hey Dan, I found a place that sells the 400hp axles for $80 less than INTENSE and the Driveshaft Shop...bad when the distributor doesn't match or beat the people that sell their products. I'm not sure if a "correct" axle has been made since there is a difference in the angle they say for the IRL.
