Ferrea Dual Coil valve springs

what is needed for for running, these, do i need retainers to run them, i know seats will be needed, but anyone who has them installed please chime in

i believe you can use the stock retainers but why not upgrade to the titanium retainers.

really? i wasnt aware of that. I mean i have the titanium retainers anyway .... i guess the guy that built my head when he gave me the price of the springs and retainers it was a single price....

its still worth it IMHO to just upgrade while your that far into it.

gotta pay to play right?

Stock retainers aren't designed to run dual coil springs and according to some machine shops around here neither are stock seats.

I have them. You do NOT need or want the seats. You DO need the retainers.

The retainers are specifically to accomodate the dual coils.

The seats are used to further compress the springs statically. Without the seats, the static spring pressure is 85 pounds. With them, it's 120. That kind of pressure is only for a drag race engine running around 10K RPM.
