Do our 2.0L engine have VVT? ive been searching google for a while now

I found that the Solstice GXP has 2.0L Turbo Ecotec DOHC VVT @ 260HP

Why did we get a S/C? instead of a turbo?

Why are our dyno #s are pathetic @ 12 to 20 psi?

don't the average tuned car @ 20 psi get 300+ hp?

I am very interested in getting a torque dampener and wondering if they are bolt on
ive google it and cant find a specific answer

I own an 06 Cobalt SS S/C, i love it.
I have had it for just over a year now and have been reading these forums since ive got it.
I have no regrets choosing this car, just a few questions.
I love that supercharger whine at full throttle

 

no we do not have vvt,

 

just beacause you have 20 pounds of boost dont mean you are going to make 300hp there is lots of other things that count to like the engine what other mods you have done and your tune

 

only the 2.4 ss or G5 GT has the vvti

 

no actually the 2.0 L turbo LNF has VVT

 

We do not have vvt, we have a s/c because gm wanted too, and prolly because it was cheaper for them,all cars are differe,t and for that matter all dynos, yes the torque dampener is bolt on.
