A few questions

ok ive did searches and didnt get the answer i am lookin for and ive try to bring up old post to ask but nothin...anyways im getting the stage 2 kit and i wanted to install it myself, so how hard is it to install it? Im more worried about doing the pulley, any tips or tools i should have before i try it? Also with the stage 2, gm performance cat-back, and a injen cai what plugs should i run? I think i got it down to ngk's 1 step colder, but i need to kno the gap size, and part number would be really nice. Sorry if this is been gone over but i get sick of searching.

im ganna bump cuz its not posting

My kit will be here friday and im hoping to be able to get it into the dealer friday evening for my tune. I dont wanna get into putting the kit on and not be able to get it in cuz i need the car for work and ect. So how much time and what tools will i need? O yea and how does it even come off? Well you need the pulley remover for one. They are like 70$ bucks from what ive read but you can rent them at a parts store. Ive never done it before so this is just from what Ive read on here, lol. As far as how easily the pulley comes off, ive heard different storys. Some coming off easy as 1 2 3 and some actually having to grind off bolts....yeah that scares me too. Id recommend looking and trying to find a how-to on here for stage 2 and be careful.

If they aren't too bad on the price for installation I'd have them do it. Try to find the local dealer with the best service reputation if you can. Even if it is the first they install, if their techs are good they should do a good job, it isn't that hard. If they screw something up it will be their responsibility to fix it. Your warranty should still be good too, without having to fight GM, should you need it.

I'm maybe 40 miles from you but wouldn't recommend any of the dealers here, sorry.

Just my opinion, your reality may differ.

They want like $270 for the whole install and $85 for the reflash. I dont really have the $270 but looks like i might just have to have them do it anyways. Im going to go with fred martin chevy. I didnt want to be a car for them to learn on, but if they mess it up i guess they can fix it.

Trust me, i dont even want a dealership looking at my car. Theres to many stories of them voidin people warrenties over stupid stuff. But akron horse power, which is a really good place for car stuff wants $600 just to do the tune.
