Firewall heat-shield?

What is the technical term for the heat-shield type lining on the firewall?

Well it has been creased the opposite direction it is supposed to be facing, thus leaving it literally limp-looking and not molding to the firewall like it should (Looks tacky).

I don't think I've seen a car without it though as it does remove a decent amount of heat.

Does it have a specific name?

when i went turbo i had to pull it off to fit my turbo cuz it was so close to the firewall. since my turbo gets wayyy hotter than ANY exhaust manifold for the LSJ, its fine if you just take it out
