firewall ? for wb install

i have an aem wideband and have been trying to get from under the hood to the interior for like 3 hours and cant seem to find the opening ive been doing this through the rubber houseing and with a coat hanger. my question is where is the opening? or is there an easier way?

if you stick your head under the driver s side dash. behind the clutch, pull the carpet back and you will see a round cut in the padding. pull on it and it will pop out. right behind that, you will find a rubber grommet going into the firewall. from the outside, it is directly behind the fuse box under the hood. look down behind it. next to the steering shaft

i have found the rubber grommet going to the firewall but once im in there with a coat hanger cant seem to find the hole leading to the interior

help please

you wont be able to see it from the engine compartment. I just stuck my arm down there. it is where the steering wheel shaft comes out of the fire wall at. just go from inside put the hanger through it, then go back to the engine compartment and put your arm down the fire wall to behind the steering wheel shaft and you will feel the hanger.

There is a really nice tool for this. It's a hollowed out pick with a screwdriver handle which is also hollowed out. You stick the tool through the grommet and then slide the wire through the tool. It makes it really easy.

his problem isnt getting into the other side of the firewall. its that he cant see where it is coming out to pull on the wire. like i said you cant see it you just have to feel for it.
