Flow through tank with option b reservoir

I was wondering, has anyone here taken an option B reservoir tank and added a fitting to convert it to a flow through tank. I am sure someone has attempted this successfully, but I could not find much info as far as how to on it. Those of you all that have converted the tank to a flow through, where did you drill at for the fitting and which size fitting did you use? Also, pics will be helpful

I have done it, wouldn't recommend it unless you can find an awesome fitting for it or use a lot of epoxy on a plastic fitting. Mine leaks like a bitch.

You'd be better off trying to use something aluminum made for a Cobra or GT500 IMO

Euthanasia makes aluminum flow through tanks.

If u really must use a flow through tank, look into an 03'-04' Cobra reservoir.

Fab up a bracket for it, and you should be set.

Not really a must, but I think it'd be more be more beneficial than the standard reservoir used for option B due to constant flow. Plus it should eliminate air in the system

I forgot about the Cobra reservoirs having the dual fittings They are a little less capacity than the option B, but it should not make a difference

Meh, it's debatable....

The cooling mods provided by GM Racing were more than enough for a fully built race car (Time Attack), and have proven time & time again to work perfectly on street cars as well.

Although, flow throughs are cool for the track, because you can fill them up with ice. The Cobra tank should be more than enough for a Cobalt.

I have a flow through tank that i used an option B tank for. I dont suggest it...stick with regular option B and air bleed.

I have my "return" right over the bottom "supply"

At the time i didnt think about it so dont make the return over the supply...put it in a different chamber.
