Fuel pressure fix for 60lbs?
Fuel pressure fix for 60lbs?
With all this talk whether a fuel return line setup would help keep more pressure ( or a prevent a drop in pressure) at the fuel rail when running 60lb injectors, the obvious thing that has popped up is the fuel pump. Maybe it needs a boost to keep up. I picked this up from Wop On Tour somewhere, but this boost a pump looks good.http://www.kennebell.net/accessories...boostapump.htm And yes, i would be worried that it burns out the pump too, but theres a pdf (can't find it) that explains that it control ths voltage to increase the output etc.
The problem is, nobody has yet to put fuel pressure gauges each end of the rail to check to see if theres a pressuer drop. Can this be done with a tech 2? (while' driving? i know you can test injectors w/ tech 2). Also, in my gm service manuals, it shows that the fuel pressure at the rail is 55psi.
