fuel pump went out

So im pretty sure my fuel pump is shot. My buddy is coming over soon so we can check the fuel pressure to be sure. I checked with the dealer and they said there is not recall on it for my car. So just wanna know if there is a good choice to buy or a cheap place to buy one. Any help would be awesome

There was a recall on it a few months back. Mine was leaking gas. Dealer changed it for me.

there not that bad just depends if u have the know how to do it yourself or not. the pump comes with the level sending unit and every thing all in one so yes it is a bit more pricier but there not that bad to do.

The whole thing wasn't that expensive last time I checked. I was going to buy it and replace it but they told me about the recall

Stock flows as well as if not better than the Walbro. Unless your Cobalt is an 05', in which the pump sucks.

Anyone know of a howto for dropping the fuel tank? Need to drop mine soon, and I can't find any good directions. Search doesn't work because 'fuel, tank, drop', etc are too common of words.

The Walbro 255LPH pump is only about 90-100 Dollars and the Stock pump is quite a bit less than that and does cost more. I say go with the walbro thats what I have in mine.

No need to pull the tank, if you take out the bottom portion of the back seat there is circular plate that you can take off with give you access to the fuel pump.
