the intake is not fitting right.... you need to loosen your clamps/bolts and wiggle it up higher. If you drive like that in the rain/snow you will suck up water etc...

if you're giong to leave it off, i would DEF. get a hydroshield asap... the splash guard is what prevents water and whatever else from getting in there so easily.

and what are you doing driving around without it???? bad idea. you are going to suck all kinds of things up into that filter.

The splash shield will not fit back correctly. I was probably one of the first with this intake and it is a known issue with this intake but I've been through 2 winters with it and it will NOT suck up water. The only fix that I know of is to leave the mount inside the fender well unbolted so the intake moves freely and use a 3 inch coupling around the tube where it comes through the fender hole and it may work. I have 2 sets of tubes and Fujita never admitted it was a design error and "forgot" about it. It's the price you pay for a true 3 inch intake and I just learned to live with it. If you like the sound of it now wait til you put a 2.7 or smaller pulley on there

No it's there, it just bulges the liner out and you will get a rubbing sound on extreme right turns and it will eventually burn a hole in the liner.

That's the whole key. That bracket screws EVERYTHING up. Didn't use mine. Intake's been on the better part of a year now. Nothing rubs on the fender, nothing is causing a problem with the splash gaurd, no problems where it drops down into the fender either. The fitment is actually really damn good if you just don't use that bracket.

Update on the CEL?? My Injen has a huge slice in it now and i'm looking to either go K&N, or Fujita. Any recomendations from anyone who has had the intakes? Should i stick with injen and just get a new one?
