Fujita fits like a dream...

OK, so tonight Dave (fastSS06) and I put my Fujita intake on. Guess what? Not a single fitment issue and absolutely NO modifications of any kind done to it. I didn't have instructions to go by, which is probably why I had no fitment issues. First off, the support bracket? Ignore that. Don't even use it. If you do, major fitment issues. It's not necessary anyway, because the splash gaurd at the bottom supports the intake.

It's an absolute must to remove the wheel, fender well/splash guard, and headlight. First step is to push all the rubber connectors as far onto the pipes as you can before you clamp them. And be sure and clamp them super tight to hold them up and in place. That's particularly important for the pipe that holds the filter on. Where the pipe goes down in the fender, let it go straight forward toward the fog light. When you've got it on it should sit just above the bottom lip on the front of the car. After you get the fender well and splash guard back on, a small piece of the plastic on the end of the filter will ever so slightly rest naturally on the splash guard. It doesn't even come close to the fender well or the fender, it sits in a nice big open space in there.

Sorry for lack of pics of the install. We were so worried about all the fitment horror stories that we were concerned with getting it in right with no problems that we forgot to get a camera to document the install. There are only "after" pics of it in the car. Two things of note, it doesn't rub on the infamous screw and it doesn't rub on that little metal edge right above the headlight (even if it did, one of the rubber sleeves would hit it and not the intake itself.

Thanks. The butt dyno definitely notices a difference and so far no CEL (but it's only been 30 miles...)

LOL a long ass time, because we had to scrub the filter and wait for it to dry. Just install time it was maybe an hour to an hour and a half. Doesn't take long at all, there weren't any trouble spots at all.

Didn't take too long actually.......we did a few other things in the process of the installation......(changing oil, painting calipers, entertained the dog...lol) All in all, the installation wasn't bad at all.....Like Alleycat said, we had to clean the MUDDY filter, and wait for that to dry. Other than that it woudln't have taken long at all.

Humm...

It seems that the CELs have gone the way of the dinosuar.

I just installed my Injen, and I got no CEL, but for some reason I think the computer adjusted for it because my MPG has went down a little, but then again, I have been driving really hard lately.
