Funny happenings cruising at 65- 80ish mph

I was wondering if anyone else has experinced this issue.

i have a 2.7 inch pulley, 60# injectors, 2step colder NGK iridium's gapped at .038~.039
Devils own meth kit is half way installed... dont "you need cooling mods" flame

alright so since i was tuned and we had trouble with it because it was becoming icy out and could only stretch 3rd gears legs. so it may be in the tune idk.

Issue: Cruising at anywhere between 65-80ish; if i let off the throttle lightly i notice the headlamps dim and if my heater fan is on the fan cuts out for a split second. almost not noticable. This will happen quite frequently. it also happens with or with out my system on and with or without the heater core and fan on. no gauges drop cluster lights dont dim, and the amps dont take a hit either.

any ideas? i hope it not my alternator goin.

i apreciate the help in advance

If it is the wires wouldnt that mean it happens all the time not just in 5th gear and from 65~80mph?

and a true short would snap fuses and things wouldnt come back on.

let me remind you guys that this happens so fast you can miss it blinking

ill check connections anyway, and report back

its possible that your rpm's are so low in 5th gear that your alternator isn't charging your battery fast enough and dimming your lights. I dunno, just something I thought I would toss out there.

Well the power should come from the alternator at that point, not the battery.

check for frays in the wires. if somethings exposed it can cause weird things. You might wanna play with the spark plug gap as well.

Do you have a capacitor on your system by any chance? I'm assuming you're aftermarket.

Capacitors are almost a necessity if you're pushing a lot of power through your system. I'm starting to think that your problem is being caused by your audio equipment. Try asking one of the guys from the audio section and get their input.

this is completely false, caps or worthless. more batteries and more alternators is what you would want. but im only drawing 150A and making a total of 1000 watts, thats including the front stage amp.

this is reply is gathered from 10 years of intense audio experience and what i went to college for. i know how to build my own speakers and work on the internals of amplifiers.

sorry i dont mean to come off so brash, but i can assure you its not the audio equipment.

We dont have aftermarket alternators for the LSJ. Caps are worthless? You must be out yo mind sir. .

the debate on if capacitors in a car audio situation are good or bad has been a debate since the beginning or time. its kinda like the rule for when in a bar dont talk religion or politics. well for audio guys its kinda like dont talk capacitors. youll end up in fisticuffs

if you understand what a capacitor actually does electrically, then perhaps we can debate. pm me

lets not get off topic here, same issue still apply's
