Funny thing

Being a new stick driver, I have stalled in NOT so cool places.

But when I did stall, turn on my engine again, and drive away, my gas gauge would read empty, and tell me I had to get gas right then. Anyone have the same problem?

(Of course I just turn off the car, in public, and back on and it reads correct. But it only messes up like that when I stall.)

Nope. Full tank of gas, and it registers 0.

And yea, my gauges work fine - it'll say I need gas when I have 40 miles left.

I believe there is a TSB out for that problem, the dealer needs to reflash your ECM

Edit: I have that problem too, annoying isnt it?

Eh... Only when I stall. Which, thankfully, I'm better at driving now.

on stick! when i learned how to drive stick, gotta give my one pointer that has been so helpful. esp. living in the hill-y midwest. practice on hills!!!!! until you can go from a stop to moving without going back. learning is fun tho, lol. enjoy it.

mine did that once I stalled it at the frecking dairy queen drive through, but they were almost closed and i was in a lil rut from where the cars all sit. 1 of the 2 times I stalled it. but the gas gauge read empty just like yours, I drove the 5 min home and turned it back on and all was well.

but I tried to turn it back on rather quickly so that may have had something to do with it.
