Gas question.

I got my SS/SC Cobalt 2 days ago and it had a full tank of gas, and I had to drive about 100 miles to get it home and drove it alot that day/night but yesterday I filled my tank up with 93 and I am already about to hit below a 1/4 tank and drove only about 150 miles. It that right or does the car have to be broke in before i'll get good gas mileage. I know it's a pretty dumb question but I was just wondering.

Thanks.

Your car will get better gas as time goes on but that seems pretty low. After I had 500 miles on my car I started getting 26 mpg highway/city driving. Does the car run rough, idle rough, or blow smoke?

No it doesn't run rough or anything. I mean I know I ran it hard a few times and I know that doesn't help the gas mileage, but when I haven't I still haven't got good gas mileage.

If it doesn't get better I would have it looked at. You should still get well over 200 miles per tank even with spirited driving. I usually get around 300 mpt and I have 5800 miles on mine.

Where are you located?
Many parts of the country run a winter fuel blend....it has alcohol in it. Check the pump next time you fill up.
This fuel will result in about a 2mpg loss in fuel economy.
I was getting 26 (as indicated) before we switched to the winter crap, now I'm at 24mpg.
Cold weather will get you worse mileage as well.

Yeah I think so....

And to the guy, my foot isn't on the floor. I've ran it hard 2 times since i've had it and I don't think that'll decrease my MPG.
