Lightbulb Gauging intrest in V2 style CAI...

Hey all, wanted to find out how many SS/SC owners out there would be interested in contacting AEM with me and requesting a V2 style intake. I personally love the design and think it would work well on our cars. I want to try to get a list of people who want this, that way when I go to AEM, they won't say "You're the only one who wants this", so if you're in, pm me with your info. Thanks, and here's to hoping we can get it done!

The conventional V2 intake is such where the main chamber is bigger than the connecting peice to the TB, so they neck it down, resulting in more air intake at WOT. In this case, with the 2.0, more air gets shoved into the SC = more power

Assuming comparable price/fitament to the other intakes available to the SS/SC i would be interested in this.

some pictures/performance info on the specific style would be helpful here too?

Send me a PM with your info. I want to have a list of people to go to AEM with so they actually have incentive to get off their ass and make something cool for our cars, not just 1 person.

Here is a picture and some info on how it works.

The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake is AEM's 2nd generation air intake system. The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake enhances what AEM started with its original AEM Cold Air Intake.

The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping), to create multiple frequency sound waves that help charge the cylinders with air throughout the entire RPM range. As a result, the AEM V2 Cold Air Intake has realized significant power gains, even over the original AEM Cold Air Intake system.

The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake is manufactured from 6061 mandrel-bent aluminum piping, helping to make the AEM V2 as light as it can be. The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake features a high-gloss titanium powder coating that reduces heat soak and enhances its look.

Each AEM V2 Cold Air Intake features a one-piece, four-layer, cotton-gauze AEM air filter that provides superior filtration and meets or exceeds SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) filtration standards for automobiles. Each AEM V2 Cold Air Intake filter body is made from urethane so that it won't shrink or crack like plastisol, the common material that other air intake filters are made of. The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake also features an exclusive air horn design that improves performance and air flow.

The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake uses soft mounts for a guaranteed fit. The soft mounts on the AEM V2 Cold Air Intake provide a flexible pivot point for the intake where it mounts to the chassis to prevent added stress on the mounting bracket, which could cause it to break. In short, the soft mount of the AEM V2 Cold Air Intake flexes with your car's engine, so that the mounting bracket doesn't.

Each AEM V2 Cold Air Intake is designed to fit a specific car application. All AEM V2 Cold Air Intake systems come with a complete hardware kit. A comprehensive installation instruction guide is included with each AEM V2 Cold Air Intake system.

Most AEM V2 Cold Air Intake systems are 50-state legal. Every AEM V2 Cold Air Intake is either C.A.R.B. exempt or pending C.A.R.B. exemption. All AEM V2 Cold Air Intakes are manufactured and assembled in the U.S.A.

The AEM V2 Cold Air Intake comes in only one color silver. For the silver color option, the AEM V2 Cold Air Intake features a high-gloss titanium-like powder coating that reduces heat soak and enhances its look.

Limitation is at the Throttle Body, this intake will do nothing except make the air bounce around more before the TB. Another words, not worth the interest.

agreed, where is the data to back it up?
I think if you believe that you need to get the "tornado" as well...

and not to be a party pooper here but why spend 250 bucks+ for a CAI when Intense Stage 1 is about mid 300 with WAY more hp to gain from it...hell save up longer and slap on a stage 2 or 3 on your car....

$/hp gains is where it is at people...250-300$ for 8whp or 350 to 530 for 20 to 40hp gains...hmmmm

ok, then why are dill holes on here dropping 325 - 350 for Fujita and only getting 10 - 12 hp?

dropping about a c note less and get the same from the V2 makes more sense, plus with stage 2 you dump more fuel, you'll need more air, which is what the V2 provides.

Are you for getting that the 2.0 is forced induction? Limitations... HA!, I pee in your general direction.

This theory works great with my flux capacitor (coming soon) and my 3 foot wing on my hood.

We have so many other intakes to choose from its pointless. Why waste your effort on less than 1 hp gain over other intakes (if any) when you could be spending your effort on bigger gains.

maybe cuz these dillholes had the car and were buying the best out at the time before there even was a stage kit all together.
