easiest way to avoid knock in cold temps is to not go WOT. Or get a revised tune like mentioned

Or up the meth mix.. or put on a larger pulley for winter.. not ideal.. but if you can't tune, it'll get you by

I have never seen any knock on my ss, even when I do a WOT pull in colder weather, even in a higher gear pull ect., never ever ever and thank god I don't, but I'm on e85 so it's a bit easier not to knock, "knock on wood"

Although all winter gas is crappy, always make sure to fill up with 93 octane when running the GMS3 tune. The GMS3 default tune requires 93 octane fuel unless you had Vince tune you for 91 octane. Why do you only get 3/4 of a tank of 93 & then fill the rest with 91?

yeah make sure not to go wot at all and dont punch throttle to even like 60% because your stock mapping sstem is off by prob 15+ or 15- just saying. when you tap the throttle it goes to ve so whenever it does what ever your ve is set to itll do it. be safe

im in florida so it doesn't get as cold as other states but rarely i see 1 maybe 2 degrees of knock but thats not bad, i still floor it and so far so good but if you see anymore than that and when your in wot and the interceptor is reading knock all over the place just let off. your best bet is what everyone else says, get a tune for winter and the summer and you'll be fine*

yeah ive tuned umm i thnk like 66 balts now and if you have -9 timing up top and your getting kr there is a reason, from it being either a cracked lash adjuster to a pigment of the imagination, somthing is wrong so if any kr is seen fix it, since your turbo swapped and your getting kr, look at the tune. i can promise you it is this like what is your wot afr, how far is your maf and ve of, are you sure your running 15* up top datalogging. verify all is good liek say your ve and maf arent off, and you checked gap on the plugs and they are ngk s, and you still get kr, check fuel pressures, and check your injectors, if you still get kr, look for somthing loose, if nothing look and listen for somthing inside the engine bay that could possible give you your issue, if nothing gas, compression ect. i mean any kr is bad because it causes detonation stay away from it

i kno my tuner and i kno the basics of whats going on. im on 15* of timing all the way and like previously stated its once in a blue moon when i see knock. knock is bad yes but 0.5-1.0 is not going to kill you, ive seen balts blow up with no warning at all but your right about one thing, my plugs are ngk bkr7e's but they are waaaaay over due for changing but ill get to that one day. my car is running just fine and the tune is just fine. kthanksbye!

Ive romped on mine, and my KR SOMETIMES will jump to 2 or even 7 for less then one second, then while STILL WOT it goes to 0.0 and there it stays.
