That reminds me of the first time i went to the track this year. We got a mist of rain so they prep'd the track for like an hour. Well when i went up and launched my car it was hooking hard and wheel hopping so bad my siruis radio in the top corner of my windshield came off and fell into my lap lol. That was the first and last time with stock mounts haha.

jesus! he needs traction bars or motor mounts or somthing, but thats coming from a guy who blew his axles with all that on and no wheelhop.

 

lol i blew my axles, and my tranny from this!!!!! ottp stage2 mounts are on there way

 

I've launched over 6k rpms in my supercharged cobalt on stock mounts, stock axles. No wheel hop. Never broke an axle, never busted the trans.

It's called slicks. They are designed to help you with traction problems.

are you just replacing with stock tranny and everything, im thinking mine might grenade sometime here in the future and looking for stronger options

 

i got a new tranny with my powertrain warranty, and also gm wheel hop kit(axles,tc tranny mounts) but i still have wheel hop so im buying this. i had the stage 1 and still had hop so thats why im going to stage2

 

damn thats bad. Not as bad as e30's. My friend took me out in his just to show the wheel hop, you dont feel it at all but its super loud. He made it wheel hop one time and one time only and I thought the sound was his diff exploding. Then after that he did a stretch of wheel hopping and it sounded like there was an angry pro-wrestler locked in the trunk with a sledge hammer. Not good times at all.

 

i got cobalt addiction taction bars and mine really doesnt hop. im getting TTR STOP mounts of a guy next week just for some reassurance
