Hmm I could've sworn I remembered someone correcting me on the Cavalier not having a return system. I guess they were wrong and now so am I haha.

Edit: Yep, you're right. I was confused....wow, I need to learn alot about ECOTECs. I'm more familiar with German technology and they do everything ass backwards I guess.

yepo, that is stock stage 2 timing.

timing is a funny creature. yes you can decrease egt's with it, but you can also go overkill with it as well, and kill power.

i know for a fact the stock ecu in a dsm will just keep increasing timing till it see's knock above 3 counts. when it sees that, it will freeze the advance till it goes away, then increase more. hence why i could get 27 degree's out of it on pump gas and water injection. how ever, the gm ecm is different, it is set. usually within a couple degree's. depending on temps, iat's load, blah blah blah. more technical

Maybe someone is just trying to create massive hysteria about the GM stage II and GM stage II reflash since others with small 2.5 pullies and custom tunes are going pop.

I can only wish I knew the truth.
