GM Info

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have gotten my GM serivce access again so if you need repair info or diagrams I'll do my best to try to get you the info. You can PM or just post on here. I don't have labor hours or parts prices but I do have technical data and bulletin info. Just want to pay back for some of the good info I have gotten from here so far. Oh and this is info for all cobalts and most GM's not just the ss/sc. I'll try to get to everyone as best as I can so don't kill me if I don't get to you right away.

Is there a way to reprogram my car so I can over-ride the daytime running lights?

Canadian 07 Cobalts - the only way to turn off the head lights (ever) is when the e-brake is on.

Do you have the automatic headlamps? If you do you can it the cancel switch by turning it towards you or turning on your fog lamps does the trick also. But if you don't there really is now way unless you get a survalence package that are put into police and Government vehicles. You can also pull the DRL fuse but then you would get a trouble code.

Yeah it wouldto taht as well, it's the new class 2 communications, so many things are now interated. But I guess since the vehicles that had the package for survilence wanted all the lights to be out it was not an issue. I would not mess with the DRL's don't understand why so many people want them to be off.
