The cost of install is anywhere from $60-$90 an hour depending on where you live. Estimated intstallation time is 1.5 hours. As far as waiting to get the results. What do you think is going to happen when you put a smaller pulley on your SC , install BIGGER fuel injectors and tell the computer to run ***** deep??

It won't be ready on GM's site untill 3/31 because that's when they technically start shipping out.

I know what the injectors and the pulley will do. What I don't know and what none of us know is exactly how aggressive the tune will be. If it is a mild safe tune, it isn't going to make huge power. That is what I am waiting to find out.

dont exspect to much from the tune..
based off the "quoted" numbers from pages of how much the kits will give .. i expect the tune is just tweaking the a/f curves but more then likely it is mainly going to get rid of CELS caused by the greater airflow (CAI cels will be fixed also i will assume)

estimated 30hp more then stock with a pully they are swapping it with.. the pully is where all the power is.. none from the tune unless they are underrating the kits as it appears the cars are to be stock

Of course it'll be a lame tune...ESPECIALLY if GM does, in fact, fully warranty the kits. GM's not going to take any chances

IF GM doesn't warranty the kits, it would be kind of pointless to spend that much money when you could get the Revit-up kit for way less.

I think anyone buying these kits from anyone other than the dealer they're getting them installed at are gonna SERIOUSLY run into problems getting the flash done...unless GM plays off the tune as "warranty work"; i.e. they compensate the dealers for doing the reflash

The most important thing from the tune, no matter how conservative is the 7000rpm redline.....which has been shown on "dyno" charts in other threads (even if they are just plotted based on GM's given numbers).

Exactly...and honestly... i dont wanna get ppl's backs up over this...BUT i can't really see GM fully backing these kits. They're in so much financial trouble and it would be a huge risk cuz they KNOW ppl will be using these kits at the track and f*cking sh*t up Just doesn't make sense that GM won't let me do my own oil changes without voiding my warranty but they'll let me strap on a kit that could potentially tear my engine up

Alright i can agree that a 7k RL would be nice, i'm just thinking that $1300 ( in canada ) for a pulley, injectors, tune....seems a little...steep. I dunno...every1's just drowning in the speculation right now, it's impossible to know what to expect from GM i guess.

If you are letting the dealer change your oil because they told you that you can't change it yourself because of your warranty you are the most gullible person i have ever met.

you think GM is in that much financial trouble that they cant waranty a % of a small niche market ... from a simple mod ???

huge risk give me a break ..the number of supercharged cobalts is relativly small, with an even smaller number actually buying the kits ..and even smaller for the people who will have problems out of these kits that they have developed and controled ...

I just called. There is still stock available for stage 1 and the 1 to 2 kit. Stage 2 is out of stock so it seems.

No no, i just have a retarded dealership, i still change my own i just have to get my shop at work to sign off on it as if they did it...i called GM Canada SC about it and you need to have a licsenced mechanic do them to maintain warranty. Usually dealers will just approve ur logs as long as you keep proper records...but like i said, my dealership is retarded
