Honestly I think the Stage 1 will only make more power past 6k the bottom end should be touched to much unless they tuned it a lot better.

You really going to feel much difference in a .7 increase on the 1/4 mile and .5 in 0-60?

I'm getting 21.5 mpg with my intake and exhaust in 95% city driving. That's not THAT bad but not good for a 4 banger but then again, it is after all forced inducted....

No you don't have to do the bypass trick with GM stage 2. It boosts up to and stays at 15psi.

That's what the original SEMA specs said, but we wont know any real information until some stage 1 and 2 cars get dyno'd.

SilverSS, your dealer is keeping your warranty intact even with your 3 inch pulley on?

Well, my stage 2 is on it's way. It shipped out yesterday 4/05/06, and the dealer said it should be here today or tomarrow at the latest. I'm stoked, i can't believe this is happining. First off i would like to thank God, my parents for the support, the guy on the corner with the tin can, and most of all Boulder Chevrolet in Salem, IL.. lol... Anyway, it's time to give em a call to setup the install...

Stage 2 installed outside dealership???

I just got a MUCH more reasonable quote from a local shop on the stage 2 kit install vs any chevy dealer in the area. So, I'm wondering if getting the hardware installed and then driving it about 5-6 miles to the nearest dealer for the reflash would cause any problems. I'm also going to have my CAI installed at the same time.

pulley looks stock.

Also, I got to talking to them, and they somewhat figured it out, they didnt care, they were interested in what mods did what and such, so yeah they were cool about it, But im sure when the supercharger goes, they are going to void it then.

I wished you had asked this question in one of the 453 already established stage threads ... but since you insisted on asking in a new one and I clicked on it ...

yes that should be fine ..just make sure you dont drive too hard on it between shops ...

TY for the info. I just figured that this thread would be better than hijacking another thread focusing on a different aspect of the kits....

stage kit threads have no focus ..they start off in one place and end with the same questions ..(power numbers, warranty, track numbers)

Wow, my parts guy is a tool. They want to look at my car first before they agree to install it, and if it looks like something they can do then they'll setup an appointment..?? What is that about..

Just be patient ... you know there are kits out there for that price so wait till you get one of them ... find a dealer that if offering it at the price you want and have them call your dealer and have a chat ...

it pains me to see people getting bent over for these kits ....damn all the stage kit hype ... to think you could have a car as fast as Robs for similar money

bla bla bal warranty bla bla ... *I know *

Oh yeah, about the price, i knew i was getting ripped off, but once I had got it i wanted it and couldnt see myself driving somewhere else farther away when this dealer had already been pretty good about helping me out.

But for future reference, University Chevy on Florida Ave is where it was done.
