Gm Stage 1 kit program vci number

Gm Stage 1 kit program vci number

I was wondring if anyone who has the gm stage kits knows the reprogram vci number to reprogram the pcm? im not sure if the number came with the kit or if the dealer has to call in to get the number. if someone knows the number and could give it to me i would realy be helpfull.

You have to buy a Stage 1 or Stage 2 kit to get the number. Someone would have to be pretty stupid to buy the kit and give you their number since once it is called in it is attached to the VIN and can't be used again.

thats what i was woundering if it was attached to the vin or not cause i was going to get different injector and then use the gm reprogram with them but if you can only use the vci number ill just get the gm stage 1 kit.

The only way to get the reflash is by buying the kit.

The VCI numbers are usefull for a person trying to reprogram our PCM's. I passed mine + vin # to try and help him see how GM changed things for stage 2. He said by seeing the changes he would be able to quickly retune our cars. Should know soon if he is having success.
