it's true. as soon as i seen the post from "GM PARTS GUY" yesterday on pricing off of GM ACCESS i was very happy. i went to work today and first thing i did was go to the parts dept. i got him to check the same numbers that i have been geeting him to check for the past 2 months and finally!, they came up with a price. he said that he could get it now, stocked in the U.S. my price CANADIAN was $920 for stage 2. list of, can't remember exactly, but it was $1260? canadian. anyways, that is the way i am going. I realize it is more expensive than intense etc, etc, but i can do the program myself and i think (hope)
it will turn out to be better due to the integratrion of a pcm reprogram and no piggy back, maf translor approach. anyways, it is true, finally some progress.

you know, I was waiting to go to Japan and the Yen was real low against the dollar, I get there and it jumps to a high I get ready to go to Australia and their dollar (or whatever) is doing crappy, we pull in and it jumps up like 10 to 1. I get ready to run to Hong Kong and the same thing happens....WTF I can count the countries I've been to where the money has risen before I got there

So what exactly does stage 1 consist of? The reflash and fuel injectors? And it supposedly gives what 31hp? Dude if that's the case, i'm getting the stage 1 and then buying a 3" idler pulley to go along with my 2.8" pulley that I have.

For all you guys complaining about the cost for the Stage one I don't get it.

I spent years and THOUSANDS trying to get my supercharged cavalier to run right. I am sitting on the side lines right now waiting to buy a cobalt and am watching what the aftermarket is making for parts. I would pay the quoted values just to get some proper code so I don't have to muck around with what I had to deal with in the past!

You mixed up the last two! This is how it should be ( prices):

17801947 Stage 1 (injectors, re-flash) $802.75
17803229 Stage 2 (injectors, re-flash, pulley) $1264.75
17803230 Stage 1 upgrade to stage 2 (pulley) $499.75

Yea and Stage 2 is supposedly another "5hp" and "13ftlbs" compared to Stage 1 which i'm assuming is made from the smaller pulley

those hp # sound funny to me, how the hell can you go from stock to a 3" pulley and only gain 9 hp. Once I think GM underated the kits, hopefully.

as soon as you get it installed hit the streets and play ..then hit the dyno so we can all get an idea ...(getting a baseline if you haven't could help us all out) I'm most curious as to how underrated the kits will be (very confident they will be underrated just from a cover our ass standpoint ...if gm guarantees HP they better deliver and the only way to guarantee HP is to over deliver)

I have to second this...called 2 dealers right around me this morning and the part number isn't in the system yet (at least on the east coast).
