x2 grab a 2.8" pulley(with hub $100), and some 42lb/hr injectors($180). you will need a dyno tune($400 roughly) i'll bet it shaves a full second off your times at the track

that will give you about 30hp over stage 1

you dont need 60s for a 2.8

when tuned right, you can run a 2.7 on 42s.

i would say just get the 60#ers cuz you might want to drop a size an its safe... its not to much more money to get 60s over the 42.. an like chevysalesman said you could run 42s on a 2.7 but thats if u find soemone to do a damm good tune an even then i wouldnt trust it.... also you dont need a dyno tune its better if you can get a dyno tune.. its best if u can get a dyno and street tune but street tune is fine lol mine is street tuned an i dont have asingle problem with it except its a bit rich ( paul, im gonna have to come to queens again so we can get it strightend out )

Actually, a 2.8 pulley and a hub is only 90.00

If you were in NorCal, I would tune you... There are folks in Socal though that tune. Oh yea, and I don't recommend going smaller than stage 2 pulley on 42s. People that say you can safely go down to a 2.8 on them do not know the injectors.

edit: Unless by a "good tune" they mean to drop the boost down at top end.

haha.. i wouldnt let you anywhere near my car. you really have no clue.
oh no, my car isnt right, its ok i'll just dump more fuel in there..

how is it that gm can run a stage 3 pulley and a dry 50shot on those injectors..? hmmm?
that takes more fuel than a 2.8 does, but you know more than GM, right?

you wouldnt know a good tune if it jumped up and bit you in the ass. PLEASE POST SOME LOGS..
go read another misinformed thread, and then pretend to know what youre talking about.
A bit of advice. Know someone before you make yourself look stupid. I have over 200 hours into just injector dynamics, working with people like Paul Yaw and Marcin Pahl. Do you know the linear range of the injectors that you are saying are safe for a 2.8? ****, that's a hard one. Let's try something easier... How about the actual dead time offsets for them? The low linear range? Do you even know the recovery rates? Okay, okay, an easy one for you. At 6000 rpm, how long do you have to actually put fuel into the cylinder?

Learn some **** before you talk some ****.

Oh yea, and Nate makes great pulleys. I am running a 2.85 from him and I love it!

Here is a teaser for you from another thread:

This is not determined so much by the car as the number of injectors, ammount of air and the RPMs. You can run pig rich all the way to 6000 rpms, at which point you need to pulse 19.76 ms to get enough fuel into the cylinder and another .75ms for the injectors to recover and only have 20ms of time between revolutions. At that point, your injectors are static, you don't get the fuel you need and you go lean. These injectors are borderline static as it is with the pulley they have.
Those injector stats are assuming an AFR of 11.8 at 6000 rpm running 17psi of boost.

Yes, I do make an 8-rib setup for the M112. I believe I've seen your signature pic on www.mustangforums.com but I'm not sure if it's the same person, MFJ...the guy who got the cobra tattoo?

I made a post on that site about making pulleys and also posted a couple pics of it installed on my '03 Cobra but no one has really been interested as of yet.
