GM stage 3 or not!
Alright guys im new here still so im looking for any help that i can get. i need some real facts not just opinions please because im not sure what to do next on my cobalt ss s/c. All i currently have on my car is the GM stage 2, intake and exhaust. So im wondering if the GM stage 3 is a good way to go with adding the 2.79 GM pulley. Or stay with the stage 2 and get bigger injectors, the dual by pass plate, 2.79 pulley, and just tune the current pcm with hp tunners? and getting the hp tuner its self and tuning it is that fairly simple or should i take my car to a local shop? so i know thats really long but any help from anyone will help me with my decision. im personally leaning to the stage 3. so thatnks guys!

Stage 3 is technically for 'off road use only'. The ECU is flashed, and it takes off your air conditioning. It has dual pass parts, then it sets your car for nitrous, but gives you an adjustable redline. GM Stage 3, if you don't want air conditioning and want the above, then go for it.
Its been said it voids your warranty as well. Some people say it doens't, most people say it does.
I've heard in the long run, HPTuners is very much so worth it.

I have a zzp 2.9 so it the .99 less than the stage 3 pulley?
Anyway, I'm saving up for the ECU . I'm hoping for Engine Crate to have a deal on them so I can get it. Something about paying $400w /tax for a ECU is a little crazy. I pretty much have everything it requires and I will be putting on the GMPP manifold tommorrow.
I think once I put on the manifold I'm going to get it dynoed and then the track or vice versus .
I like the idea of having a ECU that you can take out at the track and then plug a SAFE ECU back in when you are done. plus it gives you the option for Nitrous.

Im going for Stage 3 for the following reasons:
-Tune for 100 octane fuel
-Adjustable Rev limiter
-Algorithm for nitrous (Which I'll substitute for Methanol Injection)
Good part to all this, is that you can tune all this using the steering wheel buttons and gas pedal.
Bad part, no AC.
