GM Stage 3 parts avail.

The parts for the GM Stage 3 are now available from GM Performance, if anyone is interested. 3 pieces; pulley, dual-pass endplate and control module can be purchased individually.

CadetLax13 12-11-2006 07:07 PM

I hope so...

martinsmu 12-11-2006 07:11 PM

Is there a part # for the stage 3? Or is it all indivdual parts that they put together and call stage 3?? Does it also have the wet NOS ready kit like the rumour was earlier?? And is it off road only like before ( means voids warranty)

kenhebe 12-11-2006 07:14 PM

go to www.crateenginedepot.com and click on the stage kits under the cobaltperformance section. It is not a complete kit. you must buy everything individually, but the parts coe out to about 800 and it is not for off road use only.

PART #88958719 for complete Stage 3.

Cobalt_SSTuner 12-11-2006 07:21 PM

what are you talking about? All they have is a stg 1, stg 2 and stg 1 & 2 combined. Plus, If crate engine depot had an actual gm stg 3, I think they would have started a thread on it. Thats just my $.02

If you read past that you will see a two pass intercooler end plate, some coolant resevoirs etc. If you click on the intercooler endplate and read the instructions for installation it tells you everything else you need to complete the kit.

hatrickstu 12-11-2006 07:24 PM

the endplate has been up for a while, and thats all i see

Ljavy17 12-11-2006 07:26 PM

stg 1, 30 hp, stage 2, 40 hp, stage 3 50 hp plus a 55 shot of nos thats like 350hp!!!!!!!! damm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah k.

Cobalt_SSTuner 12-11-2006 07:28 PM

It just doesnt sound like a stage kit. It just sounds like random extra parts for cooling your engine. I believe if it were a stage 3, you wouldnt have to buy everyting seperately. I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just stating my opinion.

PART #88958719, http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm

Using the part # on gmpartsdirect, this is what you get

LandonElf 12-11-2006 07:39 PM

That part number isn't worth anything on crateenginedepot.com, but at GMpartsdirect.com it pulls up "pwr upgrd" with no picture and a price of about 570. So it looks like its just a matter of hours.

Cobalt_SSTuner 12-11-2006 07:42 PM

not trying to be an ass, but when I clicked on your link, I got a result of "no product found". So I searched and I found something for 572, but it doesnt tell you anything about what your buying.

Cobalt_SSTuner 12-11-2006 07:44 PM

and say that is the stg 3, why would it be cheaper than the stage 2?

Link to stg 2

mikeg 12-11-2006 07:47 PM

Dont Know What It Is But I Just Orderd One.

Cobalt_SSTuner 12-11-2006 07:50 PM

I seriously hope your joking. Your gonna buy something for 500 some dollars and your not even sure what it is. IMO, ur an idiot.

LandonElf 12-11-2006 07:54 PM

LOL, you actually ordered it dude? You mind sending me a $500 dollar check since you have so much money to blow?

Anyway, it was pretty well determined that stage 3 will REQUIRE stage 2. So that is probably the "stage 2 to stage 3 upgrade" and maybe later they will release the "stage 1,2, and 3 upgrade"

Yeah k.

The stage 2 give u a total of 45 extra over stock, not 30 S1+ 40S2..... Now my question is, how much h/p over the S2 would the S3 give??

EthensCobalt 12-11-2006 10:39 PM

i agree must be a s2 to s3 cause this part wasnt always there

sethallen 12-11-2006 11:19 PM

so can we hook up this extra coolant reservoir to our stock i/c setup????

martinsmu 12-11-2006 11:46 PM

I would imagine we can hook it up!! Buy the gear and u'll be good, but ure might aswell just buy the whole S3 really?
