I thought with the GM Stage 3 PCM you did not have to do a case relearn, but I keep throwing P0315! Anyone have this problem?

 

I was wondering that too.
From my initial research I learned that in general, when installing a new/different PCM, a case relearn is required.

But in the instructions of the Stage III kit that I found on CED they state that going from Stage II to Stage III and back again, is just a matter of swapping PCM's.

you do have to do the CASE learn once, then after that you can swap back and forth...my buddy works at the dealer and has both Stage 2 and 3...

cant do the crank shaft relearn on the stage 3 pcm i tried several times.

 

Well I just did one on mine with my friends TEC2. Worked like a charm.

 

you can case relearn the stage 3 ecm.

 

mush be a problem with something on mine then it wouldnt let me learn it.

 

Thats strange. Maybe somethings up with your crank sensor itself?

 

I just installed stage 3, but i can't start my motor because i broke the steam pipe bolt... so i had to call the dealership and they can't order one until monday... and they half to order the whole thing 80 bucks and all i need is the bolt not the whole pipe... but I checked my codes and it came up P0315... will a case relearn take that away.. im not sure what it means so im gonna search it
